At the Transpac 50 award ceremony held at the Hawaii Convention Centre last night, crew member Dallas Kilponen was announced the winner of the inaugural Ronald L. Burla Trophy for Media Excellence. It is awarded to the entry that provides the most creative and original media content related to their on-board experience while sailing in Transpac 50. The submission had to be sent after the start and before the finish in the race, and a panel of judges from TPYC and the race’s Media Team decided the winner.
